
School Uniform Policy
In addition to observing the general policy on dress code outlined in the Parent/ Student Handbook, the school uniform guidelines are as follows:
1. School uniforms are required for grades Kindergarten and up. It is optional for 4K
2. Uniforms are to be worn Monday through Thursday. The shirt should be polo style or collared, any color, with or without the NHS logo. Khaki or navy blue bottoms should be worn, either pants or long shorts for boys and girls; girls may also choose long (knee-length) skorts, jumpers, or dresses.
3. Blue denim bottoms may be worn on Fridays with the NHS t-shirt or polo.
4. Footwear must be sturdy, with no slip-on, open-back, or open-toed designs for safety at play.
5. Students must wear sleeved shirts that are long enough to be tucked in and cover the midsection.
6. In cold weather, students may wear a turtleneck or long sleeve shirt under a polo shirt. They may also wear a sweater or sweatshirt over their collared shirt as long as the collar is still showing. No hooded sweatshirts permitted.
6. Any clothing, footwear, backpack, or lunch box bearing any kind of obvious brand label, character, team name, message, or slogan is not permitted in school.
* Please provide any shirts or sweatshirts to be embroidered with the NHS logo to administration. There is a fee for this service.
