Kristen is a former home schooling parent of two children. She held a leadership position in her local home school association (HERALD5) as well as one of the small groups. She has taught children in various settings, including: Children's Church, Sunday School, AWANA, VBS, and through a home school program, Classical Conversations. She also taught Spanish last year at New Heights and is a highly valued office volunteer.

Kristen is an active member of New Heights Church. She sings in the choir and is a member of the Praise Team and the New Heights Community Players.
