His Steps (Preschool)

This dance program will teach dancers basic techniques in ballet in a fun, loving Christian environment.  Each class session is designed to introduce young children to the concept of basic dance and movement.  What a wonderful way for youngsters to be exposed to the wonderful art of dance!

-Musicality and Rhythm will be developed through various styles of music including Christian and Classical

-Story telling through dance will capture any child's cognitive skills, creativity, and individuality.

-Motor Skills and Flexibility are considered important and enhanced.

- 45 minute dance class using many props including scarves, tambourines, bean bags, feathers, and many more.

- Dance taught as a form of self-expression that encourages each child's imagination and self-esteem.

- Dancers will need ballet shoes, dance attire optional

Next Steps/ Beginning Ballet (Ages 5-7)

This class is a pre-ballet class designed for ages 5-7.  Simple steps, along with age-appropriate terminology and imagery are introduced.  As children learn more complicated movement patterns, they increase their muscle awareness, strength, and flexibility along with confidence and self-esteem.  The level of this class will cater to the needs of the students attending.

-Ballet shoes, pink leotard, tights, and skirt will be needed for this class.  Boys see director for attire.
